Visiting Footballer

We were very lucky yesterday to have a special visit from former Wolverhampton Wanderers and England Under 21 player Matt Murray.  He came and spent the afternoon with a small group of children from Years 5 and 6.

The children took part in a variety of warm up and drill activities where they worked as a team.  They then played a match ending with a penalty shoot out.

It was a cold afternoon but it was lots of fun for all the children.

Cross Country – Race 2

Another fantastic week of Cross Country running for our super runners.

It was a longer and trickier course this week but this didn’t phase our team. They completed the course in super time showing perseverance, team work and sportsmanship.

Well done to Keeley, Grace, Erin, Faith, Eleanor, Chloe, Faye, Jack W, Jack C, Dominic, Kheelan, Rowan, Charlie, Kenzie and Luke.

A special well done to Chloe for finishing in 7th, Grace for finishing in 8th and Faye for finishing in 14th.

Cross Country

Pupils from years 3, 5 and 6 took part in the Walsall inter-schools cross country running competition. Despite the cold and wet weather conditions, we all ran just under a mile around the school field at Cooper and Jordan Primary school. Out of 160 pupils, we finished the run between 3rd and 77th place.

A special well done to Chloe who came 3rd in the girls race.

Congratulations to Chloe, Faith, Erin, Keeley, Eleanor, Jack W, Jack C, Dominic W, Kheelan P, Luke H, Charlie M, Kenzie B and Rowan G.  We are very proud of you!

Thank you to parents for showing your support.

The next race will be held at Beacon Primary School on 14th November.
