We would like to say an enormous congratulations to Faith Shepherd, Year 5 who, this weekend has competed in her first Swimming Gala for The Royal School, Wolverhampton.

She won a silver plaque for the 200m Individual Medley and a crystal goblet for the 50m Butterfly. During her swimming gala she also achieved 7 new personal best times.

Well done Faith, we are very proud of you. Keep it up!

Swimming Final

On Thursday 3 of our super swimmers were asked to compete in the swimming final at Walsall Gala Baths to represent the Shelfield cluster. We were very proud that three Rushall children were selected for the two teams.  They were swimming against the best swimmers in the area.

The Shelfield teams were made up of children from St. Johns, Hydseville, Walsall Wood, Elmore Green, Blue Coat and Ryders Hayes. As one big team the children came third and fourth. They swam amazing!

Well done to Faith, Erin and Riley!

Sport Relief

What a fantastic day we have all had today!

We worked together in our partnership classes to begin our new challenge – Be the best you can be!

We had three individual challenges and we recorded our score for each one.  Next month, we will complete the same activity again and see if we can beat our own scores.

Here are a few pictures of our wonderful day.

Mini Modern Pentathlon

On Thursday, 5 children represented Rushall in a fantastic competition.  The children from Key Stage 1  travelled over to Tipton Sports Academy to take part in the Mini Modern Pentathlon.  The day involved a variety of different sports including Target Throwing, ‘Hockey’, Obstacle Course running, ‘Swimming’ and Fencing.  The children all tried new things and thoroughly enjoyed every part.

Well done to Maisie, Tariq, Corey and Kai!

Football Tournament – We’re in the Final!

We would like to say a huge congratulations to our wonderful Year 5 and 6 Football team.  This evening the children played their socks off to qualify for the area final.  The children played two matches where they played Pelsall Village School and won 3-2 and then played Blue Coat Primary School where they held them to a 0 – 0  draw.  The final match was tough game but the children worked together as a fantastic team.  We are looking forward to the final which will be held in May at Bescot Stadium.

Well done to Luke, Charlie, Dominic W, Kheelan P, Eleanor M, Chloe, Faye, Jack and Oliver.
