Active Summer Challenge

Summer is here and what better way to step into the sunshine than celebrating the fantastic sports events that will be happening in July and August. Over the summer, the Commonwealth Games are coming to Birmingham, the Hundred cricket competition begins and currently England Ladies are competing in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 football tournament. It really does promise to be a summer full of excitement!

With all these sporting events happening around us, it is the perfect opportunity for you to step into your own ‘Active Summer Challenge’. The Active Summer Challenge will help you to be active everyday, by taking part in six weekly challenges. Each week there will be a focused sporting activity and will be fun for you all to join in. For each weekly challenge there will be a KS1 activity and a KS2 activity.

Information of the first sporting challenge is available below. This challenge should be completed between Monday 25th July and Sunday 31st July. If you do take part please ask your grown ups to send any photos our videos to with the subject ‘Miss Underwood – Active Summer Challenge’. All children that participate will be awarded a certificate of participation when we return in September.

The children did Rushall extremely proud and they are looking forward to showcasing their dance, with the rest of Year 3 tomorrow! Well done to Thomas, Dylan, Casey, Rhys, Amelia, Jayden, Zofia, Poppie, Madeline, Felicity and Harley.
